Han Thuc Tran is a postdoctoral researcher at Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Unit, Faculty of Technology, University of Oulu, Finland. She is also teaching urban planning at Vietnam National University. She completed both her PhD and Master Degrees in New Zealand at Victoria University of Wellington and The University of Auckland. Her research has investigated compact urban form, ecological footprint, and sustainable patterns of living in Vietnam, New Zealand and Finland. She is now working at Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Unit, a research centre which focuses on the multidisciplinary research in the fields of environmental, northern and Arctic issues and natural resources. Her current research is focussed on the issue of inequality ecological footprint related to social wellbeing in Finland.
